Art must have a transparent background. PNG, EPS, VECTOR PDF files with a transparent background are the optimal files.
Some colors may be difficult to see so you can add a background to "CHECK" your art is correct. Use the little "Bucket" on the right side of the designer page to show a background. Remove the background before you "add to cart"
